Daniel and Isabel are such lovely people! I love listening to their stories; cute, sweet and yet manifest much true lessons of life. On this wedding film Daniel shared their first date moment. Being a big foodie and a funny guy he is, of course his memory involves food! But now, I’d like to also share with you the story of when they first met.It was on one Christmas home fellowship that they attended and they both participated in the white elephant gifting game. That day Isabel got the cookies. Seeing that a newcomer only got cookies, with kind intention Daniel offered his gift which he thought was more interesting and unique. Yet on her mind, she was thinking, “This (chubby) guy, he even wants my food!” Poor Daniel! He he.
But despite the many funny moments they share, their relationship is a mature one, rooted in deep love and fundamental values. Isabel has always been a mature young lady. On the gift that she gave that night, she wrote a note saying, “Never stop doing little things for others. Sometimes, those little things occupy the biggest part of their heart.” It was this quote that became the topic of their first conversation. From that moment on, their feelings just grew deeper for each other.
In the past, Isabel had experienced a not-so-pleasant relationship where she lost trust in a guy. Since then, she became more reserved and a bit closed off to men. It was not easy for her to trust anybody with her heart. Not until she met Daniel. Daniel is pretty much an open book. From the very beginning, he has always been transparent to her, openly expresses his feelings and his gratitudes for her. He faithfully does so until finally, as the quote above says, his sincerity slowly yet surely touches her heart and earns her trust. Confidence in communication is crucial in a relationship, and it was Daniel who opens her heart to trust again.
As Daniel gives so much love for her, so does Isabel for him. Throughout his journey, she has always been his biggest supporter, that one person who always sticks around, cheers him up when he is down, believes in him when he doubts, and encourages him no matter what. Having been the recipient of such unconditional love, I get it when he says, “It can’t be anybody else. It has to be you.” It is such a true blessing when you find that kind of love in your life.Daniel and Isabel, I am truly grateful that I get to know the richness of your relationship. Behind the many funny stories you told us, I learn a lot about how little things you do faithfully out of love can nurture a much bigger impact in one’s heart. May your marriage continues to be blessed and be such a blessing for everyone that you meet.
